2nd Friday: AI in practice
Every second Friday of the month it’s that time: 2nd Friday. The ‘VrijMiBo’ event for engineers in The Netherlands.
A fixed recipe, with always new people. We are welcome in the beautiful building of the AI Innovation Center on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven.
To break the ice, we kick the evening off with a lecture by an engineer or business owner. They share their successes and blunders, their strategy and their experience. Enough material to discuss during the networking drink!
AI in practice
During this lecture, ir. Albert van Breemen PhD will present insights on applying deep learning to various real-world systems in the field of agriculture and horticulture. VBTI has successfully applied deep learning technology to agricultural robots and crop forecasting systems. This required the development of a special platform to get deep learning operational. The platform is called ‘AutoDL’ and it has automated many of the tasks of the deep learning development lifecycle. In 2022, VBTI won the prestigious Anton & Gerard award.
